One morning, as I do every morning, stretch and turn on ESPN. Mike and Mike was on, the topic at hand was Brian Cushing and PEDS(performance Enhance Drugs), his suspension and him keeping his rookie of the year award. I think this is wrong on so many levels, there is NO way to say that he would have earned that award without the HCG( which btw is a fertility drug for females and is also on the leagues substance list). I am not suprised that he says he does not know how it entered his body, that's the same line used from former athletes who were outed for using PEDS. I am more upset that he was able to keep his award, which should have been revoked. The only way that HCG can enter into your body is through injections or tumors and if you have a tumor, you shouldnt be playing in the league.
Im also confused as to why he tested for these PEDS in September of 2009 and here we are in the middle of May 2010 and it is just being bought to the publics attention. Brian was able to continue the season and is NOW being suspended for four meesly games. The Rookie award(even though by default) should be given to either Clay Matthews III (Green Bay Packers) or Jairus Byrd (Buffalo Bills). I feel as strong as some of the media who is asking Brian to give up his award, because as I stated earlier in the post there is NO way to say he would have earned that award without using PEDS. Maybe if Brian did something illegal outside of the field I would say his personal life has nothing to do with his accomplishments on the field but he needs to GIVE UP HIS ROOKIE AWARD! :-)
