I look at athletes and when I finish yelling and rooting, hooting and hollering, I go on with my life. Sometimes I forget those athletes are humans too. As I made my way to find a seat on a HOT Wednesday in July @ the Melo center, I scooted over so a lady and even litter lady made way to sit as well. Not long after I seen a man maybe 6'8 enter the gym with a duffel bag on his arm and make his way over to the lady I was sitting beside and the little lady said "Daddy".
"Daddy" is also know as Antione "Scoop". I watch Scoop play a very intense game and soon as it was over, he made his way to the little lady. After a couple minutes he leaned over to introduce himself and in that split second I could tell he was worth getting to know. It was something about his voice that made his personality shine through. You know what they say, the First impression is a lasting one. Me and Scoop exchanged numbers and below is he following interview. :-)
