R.I.P. Lorenzen Wright

Every once in awhile the sports world is rocked with a tragic and Unexpected event-Sean Taylor,Chris Henry- and unfortunately this time it was the death of former NBA player Lorenzen Wright. Who knows what really happened to lead up to his death and I could care less about the media saying anything about his home being foreclosed. Put that aside and focus on the 5 teams he played for in his NBA career, focus on the fact he was a former Top 10 NBA pick, something else besides his home. Lorenzen left behind his kids, his family and his friends, such as Penny Hardaway who according to reports rushed to the crime scene in tears calling Wright a "brother". This is a sad and unexpected event, since some people had high hopes that he would return home after his mother made the plea for him to call. Now whether his ex-wife had anything to do with it...only time will tell....for now we should remember Lorenzen for who he was and not for how his sudden demise came.

There was a 911 call made from Lorenzen cell phone just moments before gun shots rang out, all you hear is a muffled male voice and then .....................

Lorenzen's memorial will be on Wednesday which thousands are estimated to attend @ the FedExForum. Wrights memorial will be the 1st memorial held there and it just shows how much he meant to the GRIZZLIES(which he spent 3 seasons with).

My heart truly goes out to his friends and family and most definitely his kids.
