It aint my Fault

I remember in Atlanta when I was in high school,I use to work concession stands at certain places around Atlanta like Phillips Arena and Georgia Dome. One day I got the pleasure of working at the race track, all I remember is walking to the stands (without) ear plugs and hearing my ears pop. The sound was so loud. I said to my friend," It would be cool if a chick was riding in one of those cars."

To our surprise, Danica Patrick, who didn't really gain popularity amongst the rap audience until she was featured in rapper JayZ video alongside Dale Earnhardt Jr. was on her way to the top of dominating the race track, There is this beautiful woman, who at first glance looks more like a model than a race car driver, suits up,puts on her helmet and presses her gas pedal till she has completed all laps required. After all she was the 1st lady to win a Indy car, in 2008. Danica has overcame so many obstacles being a woman fighting for respect in a male dominant sport. Winning Rookie of the year, being the first woman to lead the race in Indianapolis, the 4th woman ever to compete in the Indianapolis 500,etc(google the rest). Years on Years of trying to get a steady and strong fan base, trying to gain respect, all went out the window in less than 2minutes.

When things don't go our way, who do we blame??...Do we point fingers at others, or ourselves?

I think the worst thing Danica could have done was point the finger. This weekend, she had the NASCAR race, things didn't go to well for Danica and of course, who did she blame? Everyone but herself. I think everyone is deserved one bad day, and she just happen to finally have hers. Everybody cant be a winner all the time, you must lose at some point, because no matter what you do in life, there will always be someone better than you and someone worst than you.

Danica blamed everybody from the pit crew, which I don't know how hard it is to be a pit crew worker but I know I couldn't do it. Instead of being a lady and smiling at her Lost and then taking her frustrations out publicly like a SORE LOSER, she cost herself a host of "booing". The "booing" sound from the spectators sound just as loud as the cars did when they raced around the track. It was obvious that the spectators who only merely seconds before was cheering her on, did not agree with her attitude after the race was over. Though she stands by her remarks that it was the pit crew's fault, her fan favorite level has dropped about 30%. Nobody likes a sore loser...next time maybe she will leave the smart remarks and frustration till she is behind the scenes. Patricks pit team was not driving the car, though even if put together "poorly", as she says, everyone should share in the blame of the lost. One thing I learned about being an athlete is to lose gracefully, nobody likes a sore loser Danica.
