Trent Richardson is one of the best running backs in college football right now(in my opinion). Attending University of Alabama,Trent graduated from the same high school as NFL great Emmit Smith. Selected as ESPNs National Player of the week in high school, Trent commited to UAB over LSU,Flordia State and Flordia. If Trent would have committed to Flordia he would be playing alongside (committed) Gator, Adrian Coxson, from City College High School in Baltimore,MD.
I noticed that ESPN tried to do a lot of comparisons and picking "who's better" between Richardson and Heisman trophy winner,Mark Ingram, who will be honored on May 22,2010. Both are good running backs, no doubt about that, but cant we just say they are great, or is it really necessary to make a limelight "competition". Mark Ingram, whose father Mark Ingram Sr, was a NFL wide receiver, is the 3rd sophomore in history to win a Heisman Trophy. Though it is the very first for Alabama, Mark is only the 2nd RB to win this award, Reggie Bush, New Orleans Saints, was the first back in 2005. UAB won the BCS championship and once again, Ingram was on top the world he was knighted the Offensive MVP. Either way, both are extraordinary at their positions and will make a huge impact on any team they go to in the NFL.
